Blumen, sprung from the vision of its founder Amy Crum and has earned a reputation for designing and producing some of Chicago most beautiful weddings.  Amy's keen eye and relaxed yet professional design style has made her a favorite for referrals from the city's most cherished venues, planners and happy clients!

In August 2011,  Amy expanded her ability to design and create ever more beautiful weddings by joining the HMR Design Group.  As Amy always has, HMR takes great pride in the AAA quality of its flowers, creative design concepts, and the seamless production of events. The success of these companies is a testament to the veteran staff and the "nothing less the perfect" attitude toward all products and designs at your event.

 

 

WEDDINGS

Each wedding is an artfully crafted pairing the couple’s unique style with our creative expertise. We are committed to creating environments that delight and inspire. With our extensive prop inventory and vast selection of flowers the possibilities are endless.

 

 

PROCESS

In our initial meeting, we do a lot of listening and ask a lot of questions, we'll go through your key photos and discuss color, texture, scale, budget and expectations. Together, we'll work with you to interpret and define your vision. From that meeting a proposal and design concept will be generated for your review. The process is collaborative and fun but at the same time we always work hard to make sure our years of experience keep everything on track. We're passionate about our work.

Amy Crum, Founder / Designer
Amy has been designing beautiful flowers and events ever since she can remember. She began her floral career in Chicago after obtaining a BFA from The Kansas City Art Institute. After honing her aesthetic sensibilities as a painter, her love of texture, color, and composition are reflected in her flower and design choices. Blumen, started in 1990, is the perfect blend of her artistic passion combined with creative small business entrepreneurship. I am lucky to be surrounded by the exquisite beauty of nature everyday. I am proud of our talented Blumen team and I treasure our relationships with our clients.

Amy lives on the north branch of the Chicago River with her husband, art advocate Paul Klein and their children Iris and Brice. When she’s not designing weddings she can be found in her garden pruning wisteria or transplanting hostas!
