Started in 1990, Blumen is owned by Amy Crum, a formally trained artist and experienced designer whose founding principle compares producing flowers for an event to exhibiting a body of artwork: all the pieces must fit together and inform one another, creating an installation reflective of each client’s individual taste and personality. As its staff and capabilities have grown over the years, Blumen has remained true to this principle, listening closely to clients while crafting unique designs.
Although our designs are sometimes cutting edge or contemporary, our service is good old-fashioned one-on-one support. We offer you timely responses and our undivided attention. Each member of our core staff of experienced professionals is involved in your event from start to finish. This continuity ensures your vision will be maintained throughout the planning process, and that the final product will be accurate and the installation smooth. We are pleased to be accessible to you for consultation along the way. Quite often the person answering your phone call is the same designer who will be installing your flowers on site! You will never wade through convoluted phone systems or have your communication filtered down through an ever-changing sales staff.
Blumen is committed first and foremost to providing flowers and other design elements for weddings and other special events. W are accustomed to both the big-picture visualizing and detail-oriented planning that are necessary to stage sizable, once-in-a-lifetime parties, as well as smaller, more intimate affairs. We are able to focus intently on your event without the distractions of a retail shop. Our staff is familiar with the scheduling and timing needs for two-venue events, and we are well-acquainted with virtually all of the off-premise venues, hotels, churches, and clubs around the city.
